The story of the 108 Heroes is written in Chinese folklore and concerns a band of rebel warriors who sought to protect the poor and needy – a bit like a far Eastern Robin Hood’s band! The warriors in Microgaming’s slot certainly look like a fierce bunch, and in the backdrop to the reels they ride horses and wield swords.

The illustrations are bright and eyecatching, and there are some important symbols to look out for: after the standard 9 through Ace card symbols there are the rebels themselves, named Ling Chong, Wu Yong, Lu Zhi Shen, Sun Erniang and Li Kui.
