Despite being a very simple old-skool three reel game, Goblin’s Cave has a lot to offer, with holds (like those found on UK fruit machines). wild symbols and a nice bonus round. This is a relatively low volatility game, so expect smaller, but regular payouts. In fact, this is a great option for playing through your bonus money to meet wagering requirements.
More About Goblin’s Cave Slot
Goblin’s Cave – How It Looks
Theme and Symbols
Goblins are known in folklore for being hoarders of treasure, and this game is set in the lair of a Goblin, surrounded by gold trinkets and coins. The goblin himself looks like a pretty benign character with a droopy face, glasses, a dressing gown and slippers on. Every time you spin the reels he cranks a wheel to start the action and hopefully get you some nice payouts.
The symbols are a mix of sparkling crowns, coins, rings and lamps. The highest paying symbol is the red ruby gemstone with a 150x payout. The red ruby is also the Wild symbol in this game. There are in total 17 different combinations of symbols that can lead to a payout of one kind of another.
Customising Your Game Set-Up
There are three paylines in the game, laid out across three reels. Each bet you place on each line is made up of coins of between 1 and 5 coins of value 0.01, 0.02 and 0.5. So, adjust your coin value and number of bets accordingly to arrive at your stake per spin, which will be between 1p and 75p.
There is no soundtrack to Goblin’s Cave slot, but each reel spin comes with sound affects. There is no sound on / off switch in the game.
The fun here comes with a Hold feature that is utilised with every spin. In fact, every spin has two parts to it. The first spin reveals three symbols on the bottom row of the 3×3 grid that makes up the reel view. After this spin, the player has the option to hold any of the three symbols, before a second spin happens. Any symbol that is held will then populate the whole of the reel it is on.
So, if your first spin reveals a winning combination, then hold all symbols to see that combination repeated across all 3 paylines. Or, if there is no winning combination, either choose to hold symbols that could potentially lead to a winning combination, or none at all.
Treasure Chest Bonus Game – You need 3 blue lantern symbol to activate the simple pick-me bonus round. In this game you must choose a treasure chest to reveal a cash prize.
Goblin’s Cave is old skool in slots terms, with just 3 lines and 3 reels, and including a Hold feature which will be familiar to anyone who has ever played an old fruit machine in any pub in the UK.
It certainly doesn’t have any of the sophisticated animation of modern slots like Gonzo’s Quest or Big Bad Wolf. Nevertheless, it’s quirky goblin character and fun gameplay and bonus round make it worth trying. And of course, with a theoretical RTP of 99.32%, Goblin’s Cave is definitely worth a spin.
